In November of 2005, I met Justin. This relatively short relationship is what I like to consider an intermission, a rebound. I was momentarily intoxicated by my happiness with Justin. He was loving towards me and devoted to me or so I believed. I was apprehensive but I craved touch and embrace. Looking back now, I draw the conclusion that loneliness was quenched by the concoction which was Justin, not love or desire. I treasured the feeling of ecstasy sweeping my every sense. I thought that feeling had been reduced to ashes when David broke my heart, lost and forever waiting to be found by someone special, that someone was not David or Justin.
Come March, Justin confessed that which has happened to me repeatedly, that which I believe to be my curse, had happened once more. He had betrayed me in the most terrible way imaginable. Justin, whom my intuition smiled upon, had cheated on me. I blame him completely for what happened. I know now, that I too made a lot of mistakes along the way. My first mistake was being fooled into thinking that I loved him.
I left someone I liked okay enough, for someone I could passionately love.
